Diverse Mind Designs Makers Market Toolkit
Toolkit Purpose
This toolkit provides promotional and educational materials to help creators learn and share information about the Diverse Mind Designs (DMD) Makers Market.
What Is Diverse Mind Designs?
Diverse Mind Designs (DMD) is Autism Canada's creative marketplace that elevates the work of Autistic and neurodivergent creators, including those who self-identify. It provides makers with a dedicated online platform to showcase and sell their work while connecting with a broader audience that values their lived experience. Regardless of what they are creating, makers retain ownership of their products and creative direction while having the opportunity to share their work with more people.
Who Is Eligible?
Diverse Mind Designs welcomes Autistic and neurodivergent creators, including those who self-identify. Whether you're just beginning your creative journey or have been selling your work for years, DMD is open to makers across all mediums. What matters most is thoughtful creations and a desire to share your creativity with others.
Meet The Community
Diverse Mind Designs is home to a growing community of Autistic and neurodivergent creators from across Canada. Highlighted below are just a few examples of the many talented creators featured in the marketplace.

The Neuro Standard, founded by an Autistic creator and parent, developed the “Knot Your Typical” sensory‑safe detangling hairbrush, designed to make pain‑free hair brushing accessible for Autistic individuals and those with sensory sensitivities.
Ourson TSA Stimulant, founded by autistic creator and parent , features an interactive electronic sensory teddy bear designed to support autistic individuals and foster inclusion. A portion of each purchase is donated to Autisme Montréal.

Why Diverse Mind Designs Matters
Creative work is about more than just the finished product. It’s a way to express identity, share experiences, and connect with others. Diverse Mind Designs was created to increase visibility for Autistic and neurodivergent creators by providing a space where their creativity and unique perspectives are valued.
