The relation of primary teeth and mental health conditions: Leveraging Tooth Fairy

Summary: Children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), may face challenges with their oral health. Stress or anxiety can lead to teeth grinding or jaw clenching, causing tooth wear, damage, and discomfort. They may also struggle to maintain consistent oral hygiene, increasing the risk of cavities, gum disease, and other dental problems. This can create a feedback loop in which poor oral health further affects their overall well-being. The aim of this project is to better understand these challenges and develop strategies.
