Summary:

This project aims to co-develop inclusive and accessible sexual health education resources for Autistic children and youth, in partnership with their caregivers. Sexual health education is a critical component of health development; however, caregivers of Autistic children and youth often lack access to resources that reflect neurodivergent learning needs. This qualitative community-engaged study explores caregivers’ experiences discussing sexual health topics with Autistic children and youth. We are currently recruiting for our second round of interviews.
