Autism Canada’s Recognizing Behaviours Training is a foundational introduction to understanding how Autistic and neurodivergent people may communicate, respond, and engage across a range of environments. This training provides a starting point for building awareness and confidence when interacting in both everyday and high stress situations. Designed to support safer, more respectful interactions, this training focuses on recognizing behaviour as communication, understanding sensory and communication differences, and responding in ways that reduce escalation and support positive outcomes. Best suited for first responders, healthcare professionals, educators, community and recreation staff, security personnel, and frontline teams, this training is ideal for anyone who may engage with Autistic and neurodivergent people in dynamic, unfamiliar, or high pressure environments.
